Bachelors Business Administration Teacher Certification - Texas Teachers Alternative Certification

Mrs. Lozano

Hi! My name is Mrs. Lozano and I am excited to be your 2nd Grade Teacher.  This will be my fourth year teaching at Bexar County Academy Charter School and my tenth year in the classroom. I love teaching, exploring, learning and all the fun I get to have with my students.  Most of all, I love it when a student reaches that "Uh huh moment" or  "Oh, I get it now".

I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word and received my Teacher Certification from Texas Teacher Alternative Certification.  I have been in the education field for the past 10 years.  I started as a Substitute Teacher with Alamo Heights, Comal, East Central, Ft. Sam Houston, Northside, Randolph AFB and Southside School Districts.  I became a Pre K Teacher Assistant and Teacher with Ft. Sam Houston before joining Bexar County Academy in 2016.  Here at Bexar County Academy, I have taught one (1) year of Pre K 4, two (2) years of 1st Grade and now 2nd Grade.

I was born and raised in Bay City, Texas and moved to San Antonio in 1991.  My husband, Edward, is a native of San Antonio. We have one (1) daughter named Pariz Evette and she is 14 years old.  We also have a dog named Loki.  She is a mixed breed made up of Labrador, Jack Russel and Dachshund.  She is so spoiled and cute!!

I can't wait to spend the year learning and growing with each of you!

Missing our students
2020 Virtual Battle of the Flowers
  • Under normal circumstances BCA would be having a Battle of the Flowers parade in our school parking lot.  This year, why not have each class from Pre-K to 2nd Grade actually battle!

  • There are so many Educational websites and/or apps that can be overwhelming to pick from.  Attached are a few to choose from that your student might enjoy using when he/she needs a brain break.
