My name is Majed Hajj. I have been in the educational field for more than twenty years. I have the experience as both a teacher and an administrator. I achieved an M.A. of Arts in Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in December of 2007. I obtained a Texas Standard Certification in Mathematics (8-12) in December 2010. I earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy studies from UTSA in December 2016. I received a Texas Principal Certificate in March 2017.
I am honored to be the principal of Bexar County Academy. The culture and climate of our school is supportive, nurturing, and safe. This constructive and positive environment is conducive to learning. Our diverse faculty and staff are culturally responsive and highly qualified educators. We believe in parents’ and community involvement in our school’s instructional extracurricular, and entrepreneurial activities for the purpose of our students’ educational, social, and emotional development.
The ultimate goal of our school, aligned with its vision and mission, is to enhance students’ performance through rigorous learning. In addition, build our pupils’ human capital, push them to their full potential, set them for success, and scaffold them to be productive citizens. Our collaborative and family-like school community sets the grounds for our organization to grow and sustain achievement on state standards. The faculty and I are looking for a prosperous 2017-2018 school year and for more students’ education and achievement.
