Bexar County Academy Charter School Distance Learning Program
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the declaration of emergency order #5 by Mayor of the City of San Antonio Ron Nirenberg to stay home/work safe. Bexar County Academy Charter School (BCACS) will implement its distance-learning program effective March 16, 2020.
BCACS’ top priority are our scholars. Although the school buildings are temporarily closed, teaching and student learning will continue on a remote basis through BCACS authentic distance learning experience that fosters continual learning and college readiness. The Distance Learning program is a virtual, interactive teaching and learning curriculum designed for students to complete their academic tasks from home, while receiving full support from their teacher(s), Principal and District Superintendent. While this is a new and different teaching and learning approach, BCACS Faculty and staff are committed to put in all the time and effort with virtual distance learning, as they did with face to face learning inside the classroom.
