At Bexar County Academy, we offer a variety of Enrichment and Afterschool Programs that can support social, emotional, cognitive, and academic development, reduce risky behaviors, promote physical health, and provide a safe and supportive environment for our scholars. - Alamo Arts Academy Multi-Media Educational Curriculum (6th-8th Grade): Film Production, Audio Engineering, Graphic Design and Photography
- Revive The Culture (All Ages): Scholars have the opportunity to engage in Urban Fine Arts while learning foundational music and dance skills including Music Theory, Music Composition, Jazz Progression, Latin Ballroom, Dance Production and more!
- Tutorial Program is provided Monday through Friday from 3:30-5:30pm at Bexar County Academy. Our certified general teachers and special education teachers provide accelerated learning in Math and Reading. Scholars are able to be assisted with homework from their general classrooms. This area is discussed in the scholar’s Individual Education Plan to provide extra help in their instructional assignments.
- Extended School Year (SUMMER SCHOOL) is offered and is discussed in the scholar’s Individual Education Plan regarding regression. This Amendment ARD informal meeting is held with parent and Committee in later part of May of each school year.
- Our school offers SPORTS AND CLUBS, GO MUSTANGS: Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Dance, Spelling Bee, Math and Science clubs and more!
