Celinda M. Camacho
Welcome. My name is Celinda Camacho and have been honored to serve as the principal of Bexar County Academy (BCA) since 2023. My educational journey in education has spanned over 9 years. I have served as a substitute, paraprofessional, health aide, homebound teacher, middle school math teacher, ESL teacher, and ESL coordinator. I come with a deep commitment to fostering a positive and enriching learning environment.
I earned my Master's in Education from Angelo State University, where I focused on student development and leadership. I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have also completed a Dyslexia Practitioner program.
My educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student can achieve greatness when provided with the right support and opportunities. At BCA, we are dedicated to personalized learning, high academic standards, and creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all students. I believe in the power of collaboration among educators, families, and the community to create a nurturing and effective learning atmosphere.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and traveling.
I am excited to continue working with our dedicated staff, supportive parents, and, most importantly, the inspiring students at BCA to build a thriving educational community.
