Hello Bexar County Academy Mustang Family, 

It is my pleasure to introduce myself to you as the District Network Principal of Bexar County Academy Charter School. I bring to this position 26 years of experience in the of Education, as a PK through eighth grade educator. a guidance counselor. safety coordinator and administrator. I've always been impressed with our administrative team and school community for their dedication and professionalism to teaching. I've learned in my role as counselor at Bexar County Academy that our school is a place where strong connections are made between staff, scholars and families. Our school community is committed to developing the whole child. Scholars have also earned my appreciation for their enthusiasm about learning. their pride in being Mustangs, and their kindness to each other and their teachers. During  this new school year, we will fight a good fight  of faith of battle the COVID-19 pandemic. We will ensure that all safety measures are set in place to protect scholars, parents and teacher as they return to our campus. With the being said, this the rising of a new dawn, which reminds us that the future of our school revolves around possibilities. I know that your summer has been stressful with the COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of Virtual learning throughout our schools. Therefore, we are about to begin a new school year filled with high expectations, anticipation and excitement. 

My vision and goals for our school community is to ensure that every scholar has the greatest success throughout their educational journey. This year our school community will shape our efforts toward enriching the lives of our scholars academically, emotionally and socially through virtual learning, face to face instruction, and hybrid instruction. Our school leaders will focus specifically on scholar outcomes and structural instruction. Therefore, our accomplishments will be epic no matter the successes we achieve. We will continue to focus on motivating scholars and preparing them to make smart college and career choices. This will be a promising year full of expectations, and reflection. William Arthur Ward stated, that "If you can imagine it your achieve it, if can dream it you can become it." Our team knows that we have a long way to go, but we are committed towards our goals and vision to collaborate and network with other schools in order to be successful.

This year we will work towards engaging our scholars in our robotics and entrepreneurial programs that are state - of - the - art. Our school will implement a curriculum-based learning environment to enhanced student learning across the board. Our team knows that we knows that we have to increase our efforts to improve our daily attendance in order to improve enrollment. Our team will continue to focus on the safety of our students, parents and staff during this health crisis. We will also evaluate the needs of our school community in order to improve and increase student learning outcomes. This will be a learning community of educators, reflective practitioners collaborating and communicating effectively. 

Therefore, it is important that we be reminded that our jobs are the key component for student achievement at BCA. Our scholars need our wisdom and nurturing. My goal is for our school to become a more innovative and rigorous learning community in which both our scholars and educators believe and know that our school is a place for unity and collaboration for leaning. In closing, please let me confirm that it is important that we work together to help our scholars to achieve academic success in order to make a  difference in their education. As we begin our journey, I invite you to be a part of our new beginning for our school learning community. I am confident that we will accomplish our goals and vision for our school community in which Bexar County Academy will have the best year yet.
